Geely Galaxy, a sub-brand of Geely Auto, has previewed its upcoming A7 hybrid sedan, hinting at an imminent launch as the Chinese automaker accelerates its expansion in the new energy vehicle (NEV) market.
In a series of images posted on social media platform Weibo on Tuesday, Geely Galaxy highlighted key specifications of the A7. According to the company, the plug-in hybrid model will deliver fuel consumption in the “two-liter level” per 100 kilometers when operating on low battery power and offer a combined range of up to 2,100 kilometers when fully fueled and charged.

The five-seat sedan was listed last month in a regulatory catalog by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing that the vehicle will measure 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine producing a peak power output of 82 kW. The A7 will use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with suppliers including CATL and CALB.
The A7 is set to join Geely Galaxy’s expanding sedan lineup, which currently includes the Starshine 8 and L6 hybrids, as well as the all-electric E8. Galaxy was launched as a new product series in February 2023 and was upgraded to a standalone brand in March 2024. It absorbed the former Geely Geometry lineup in October 2024.

Geely Auto reported strong sales in May, with total deliveries reaching 235,208 units, up 46.4% year-on-year. Sales of battery electric vehicles rose 178% to 95,040 units, while plug-in hybrid sales jumped 76% to 42,981 units. Geely Galaxy sold 101,845 units last month, marking a 273% increase from a year earlier.
