International Battery Summit 2026 (IBS 2026)
The International Battery Summit 2026 (IBS 2026) will bring together policymakers, battery manufacturers, technology companies, researchers, investors, energy professionals and other stakeholders from across the global battery ecosystem. Hosted and organized by the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI), the summit is designed to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global battery value chain while supporting the country’s energy transition and electric mobility ambitions.
The 2026 edition will focus on advanced battery technology, renewable energy, energy storage and e-mobility, with discussions spanning the battery value chain from upstream raw materials and mineral processing to downstream manufacturing, electric vehicles and recycling. Topics include next-generation batteries such as sodium-ion and solid-state technologies, battery manufacturing, AI-driven innovation, grid-integrated storage, EV batteries, circular economy and sustainability.
The summit will also examine Indonesia’s nickel value chain, strategic investment, battery supply-chain diplomacy, international standards, battery passports, logistics, safety and human capital development. The program is intended to connect government, industry, academia, investors and international partners through high-level discussions, business networking and opportunities for strategic collaboration.
IBS 2026 will combine a two-day summit and exhibition with a business networking gala dinner and an industrial site visit. The exhibition will showcase the battery value chain from raw materials through electric vehicles, while the industrial visit will provide participants with an opportunity to experience battery manufacturing and related industrial activities firsthand.
The International Battery Summit 2026 is scheduled for August 26–28, 2026, at the JIEXPO Convention Centre & Theatre in Jakarta, Indonesia. The main summit and exhibition will take place on August 26–27, followed by the industrial visit on August 28.
