Chery Group reported that sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China reached 71,218 units in August, marking a 53.1% increase compared with the same month last year. Total vehicle sales for August amounted to 242,736 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 14.6%. CATL and BYD continued to dominate the global electric vehicle battery market in the first seven months of the year, jointly accounting for more than half of total installations, according to industry data.
