BYD has introduced its next-generation energy storage system, Haohan, as the Chinese automaker and battery maker steps up competition with rivals in the large-scale energy storage sector. Unveiled on Sept. 18, the Haohan system’s smallest unit reaches 14.5 megawatt-hours (MWh), which BYD says is the highest globally.
