The electric car is one of the vehicles of the future. For this reason, BMW has prepared many technologies that can help consumers in terms of power consumption. Quoted from Carbuzz.com. Friday (2/12/2022), BMW is preparing a patent for its newest technology. The technology relates to the car’s suspension. So, when the suspension works to dampen vibrations or shocks, the resulting vertical movement will be converted into electrical energy. This energy will then be stored in the battery. The working principle is similar to a regenerative braking system, which converts kinetic energy into electrical energy. This energy can then be…
With high consumer demand continuing to grow, Toyota has identified new opportunities in the commercial vehicle market in terms of offering environmentally friendly and zero emission vehicle products. The Toyota Hilux, as a light commercial vehicle (LCV) which is famous for its powerful diesel engine, is now being transformed into a double cabin pickup powered by fuel cell electricity or hydrogen. In developing the prototype vehicle, Toyota Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd. (TMUK/Toyota UK), as the leader of the consortium, has worked closely with several UK-based engineering partners consisting of Ricardo, ETL, D2H, and Thatcham Research. Thanks to Toyota’s holistic…
The Hyundai N has long been known for its ability to build hot hatches, performance crossovers, and sports sedans that are as good as its competitors. It looks like that will continue in the electrification era anyway and starting with the Ioniq 5 N, which the company just teased in a new “rolling lab” video. The Ioniq 5 N only makes a brief appearance in the last few seconds of the video and is shown alongside the RN22e and N Vision 74. Having the Ioniq 5 N in the video means that full disclosure should be very close, possibly in…

Equipped with a battery capacity of 77.4 kWh and an 800v electrical architecture, the Kia EV6 GT-Line can continue driving as far as 506 kilometers. To charge the battery, it takes 7 hours when using a wall charger with AC current of 11 kW. Meanwhile, if you use Fast Charging with a DC…
Hyundai is considering the possibility of building two additional EV battery plants in the United States with LG Energy Solution and SK Innovation. The current plan is likely to use LG’s factories located in Georgia, each with an annual capacity of around 35 GWh which is enough to power around 1 million electric vehicles. While neither Hyundai nor LG Energy Solution have commented on the report, it is understood the two plants will be positioned close to the company’s $5.5 billion EV manufacturing facility in Bryan County, Georgia. The two battery manufacturers will play a critical role in meeting President…
Fisker said in a press release that the company has no bank guarantees with Magna Steyr’s manufacturing partner, an Austrian unit of Magna International Inc (MG.TO). The press release is a response to a report by short-seller Fuzzy Panda Research. Fisker said it intends “to take immediate and aggressive action to address the false and misleading claims made by Fuzzy Panda Research,” adding that it owns the intellectual property for the Fisker Ocean Platform. Japanese automotive manufacturer, Honda, recently announced that it will launch its popular compact crossover, namely the CR-V, which is powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The CR-V with hydrogen cells will launch in 2024 and will be built at the former Acura NSX supercar factory, located in Marysville, Ohio. Production of the NSX ended at the specialist factory in early November. In fuel cell vehicles, hydrogen is combined with oxygen in the fuel cell stack in a process known as electrolysis. The only by-products are electricity, which is used to drive the electric propulsion system, and water, which is released into…
Hybrid electric car battery technology and plug-in hybrid are made differently. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid are types of electric car technology. Hybrid electric car technology and plug-in hybrid have a series of batteries (battery packs) that are used as electric power storage components. Both have batteries, these two types of technology use different types of batteries. Hybrid cars mostly use nickel-based batteries, while plug-in hybrids already use lithium-ion types. In hybrid cars, nickel batteries are used because of the small power requirements. To maintain compact construction and light weight, the size of the embedded battery is not large. As well…
Ford announced that it has reached a major milestone for the production of its first electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E. The Detroit manufacturer is celebrating the 150,000th Mustang Mach-e assembly.
