Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor has begun pre-sales for the updated version of its C11 SUV, introducing a range of enhancements in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. The updated model features notable hardware upgrades and higher pre-sale pricing, which typically signals possible reductions at the official launch.
Pre-orders opened today, with the updated C11 EREV starting at RMB 158,800 ($22,170) and RMB 168,800 for its two variantsāan increase of RMB 10,000 or 6.7% over the previous model. The C11 BEV variants are priced at RMB 165,800 and RMB 175,800, representing a RMB 14,000, or 9.2%, rise compared to the earlier version.

Despite minimal changes to the SUVās dimensionsāremaining 4,780 mm long with a 2,930 mm wheelbaseāthe new version is slightly lower at 1,658 mm tall versus the previous 1,675 mm. The C11 BEV now runs on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, a significant shift from its previous 400-volt architecture and a growing standard among mid- to high-end EVs. This update supports more efficient fast charging and higher performance.
Range capabilities have also improved. Both BEV variants offer a CLTC-rated range of 640 kilometers, while the EREV variants provide 300 kilometers of pure electric range, with additional flexibility from the range extender.

One standout addition is standard LiDAR, a feature rarely seen in this price segment, enhancing the vehicleās advanced driver-assistance systems.
Leapmotor, which currently markets the T03, B10, C01, C10, C11, and C16 models in China, is one of the few Chinese automakers offering both BEV and EREV variants across most of its lineup. The BEV version of the C11 was initially launched in September 2021, followed by the EREV version in February 2023.
