Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Leapmotor has launched pre-sales for its B10 SUV, introducing LiDAR technology at a lower price point. The B10, the first model in Leapmotorās B-series, starts at RMB 109,800 ($15,130), the company announced at an event on Monday.
The all-electric B10 is available in five variants, including three with a 510-km CLTC range, priced at RMB 109,800, RMB 119,800, and RMB 129,800. Two additional variants offer a 600-km range, starting at RMB 129,800 and RMB 139,800.

The higher-end versions of both range options, branded as Smart Driving Editions, feature ATX LiDAR from Hesai, making the B10 the first EV priced under RMB 130,000 to include LiDAR, according to Leapmotor.
The compact SUV, built on the Leap 3.5 architecture, measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase.
It is powered by a rear-mounted single electric motor, with base models generating 132 kW peak power and 175 Nm torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 9.3 seconds. Higher-spec variants feature 160 kW peak power and 240 Nm torque, with acceleration improved to 6.8 seconds.

Battery options include a 56.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack for the 510-km variants and a 67.1 kWh LFP pack for the 600-km versions.
The B10 supports DC fast charging, reaching 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes. LiDAR-equipped versions also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip, while standard variants use the Snapdragon 8155.
Leapmotor, backed by Stellantis NV, reported 15,010 pre-orders within the first hour of pre-sales, with 73% of customers opting for LiDAR-equipped models.

The B10 will be officially launched in April, with pre-order customers eligible for incentives of up to RMB 8,800. Leapmotor executives stated they are targeting monthly sales of 40,000 units for the B-series, aiming to surpass the companyās existing C-series lineup.
