South Korea’s electric vehicle market has a new contender in the form of the KGM Musso EV, the country’s first fully electric pickup truck.
Developed by KG Mobility (KGM)—renowned for its tough 4x4s and SUVs—the Musso EV brings together the practicality of a pickup with the comfort and technology of an SUV.

Since its debut on March 5, it has generated significant attention, racking up over 3,200 orders in just two weeks. The Special Edition (SE) sold out in only 90 minutes, reflecting strong consumer interest.
With its bold claim of being “a new alternative to mid-size SUVs,” the Musso EV emphasizes spaciousness and everyday comfort. The cabin features a contemporary “Slim & Wide” design, highlighted by a panoramic display with dual 12.3-inch digital screens.

It comes standard with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, ClearSite Ground View cameras, and wireless charging. Optional add-ons include a sunroof, 3D surround monitoring, utility roof rack, skid plates, and a premium Alpine audio system, allowing for extensive personalization.
Performance-wise, the Musso EV is powered by an 86.6 kWh LFP battery with a range of up to 400 km (approximately 250 miles). Fast charging capability of up to 200 kW means the battery can reach 80% in just 24 minutes.

The pickup also includes V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) support, enabling users to power electronics, camping gear, or tools directly from the vehicle. It’s available in both FWD (207 hp) and AWD (up to 413 hp) configurations and offers a towing capacity of 4,000 lbs (1.8 tons), complete with trailer sway control for added stability.
Measuring 5,160 mm in length, the Musso EV is slightly more compact than a Ford Ranger but maintains a similar footprint. Prices start at ₩48 million (about $32,800), with incentives potentially bringing the cost down to ₩39.62 million ($27,000) for eligible buyers. With its combination of power, efficiency, and versatility, the Musso EV is setting a new benchmark in Korea’s electric utility vehicle market.
