Everything You Should Know About BYD Seal 06 GT Specifications

BYD has officially unveiled the Seal 06 GT, a pure electric hatchback from its Ocean series, which hit the market on October 18. The Seal 06 GT offers four trim levels, with prices ranging from 136,800 to 186,800 yuan ($19,300 to $26,300 USD). The model comes with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options, and its CLTC cruising range spans 505 km, 550 km, and 605 km, depending on the variant.

The vehicle is based on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 Evo, and its size is designed for practical city driving with dimensions of 4630 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, and 1490 mm in height. The wheelbase stretches to 2820 mm, offering ample interior space.

Depending on the trim level, the curb weight ranges from 1850 kg to 2060 kg. Aesthetic features include a sleek, suspended roof design, hidden door handles, and a refined front grille paired with sharp, narrow headlights. The rear is highlighted by a wave-shaped taillight that resonates with the overall Ocean series design language. Exterior color choices include black, gray, green, and pink, with an additional cost for the pink variant.

Performance-wise, the BYD Seal 06 GT offers two RWD motor options: 160 kW (215 hp) and 165 kW (221 hp), both paired with a BYD Blade battery offering two range options—59.52 kWh for 505 km and 72.96 kWh for 605 km. The RWD accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.

The AWD model boasts a dual-motor setup with a 110 kW front motor and a 200 kW rear motor, allowing for quicker acceleration (0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds) and a 550 km driving range. Additionally, the high-end AWD models are equipped with an 800V silicon carbide platform, enabling fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes.

Inside, the Seal 06 GT features a tech-forward cabin, powered by BYD’s DiLink 100 smart cockpit. Depending on the trim, buyers can choose between a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch central control screen, accompanied by a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 12-inch W-HUD.

The cabin also offers a range of comforts including a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and voice control. Safety is bolstered by BYD’s DiPilot 5 intelligent driving assistance system, which offers 16 driver assistance features such as forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and parking assistance.
