Harley-Davidson’s electric subsidiary, LiveWire, has officially launched its new S2 Alpinista model in Europe and North America. Designed to offer a blend of superbike performance and touring comfort, the S2 Alpinista is priced at €18,832 in Germany and combines the best features of road, sports, and touring motorcycles.

The S2 Alpinista is aimed at riders who want an electric motorcycle that excels in both everyday commuting and spirited rides on winding country roads.

The S2 Alpinista stands out with its 17-inch wheels, which not only improve the bike’s handling but also lower the seat height by 28 mm compared to the S2 Del Mar model.

LiveWire offers a range of customisation options with four preset riding modes and two user-defined modes, allowing riders to tailor the bike’s performance and responsiveness to their preferences.

The bike is built on the same S2 platform used for the S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland, with plans to extend this platform to an electric maxi-scooter in collaboration with investor Kymco.

Performance-wise, the LiveWire S2 Alpinista offers impressive specifications. Weighing 197 kg, the motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just three seconds. It features a 63 kW output and 263 Nm of torque, powered by a 10.5 kWh battery pack.

This setup provides a city range of up to 120 miles and a highway range of 70 miles. Charging the battery from 20 to 80 percent at a wall box station takes 78 minutes, although the S2 platform does not support DC fast charging. With its high-tech features and sleek design, the LiveWire S2 Alpinista is set to appeal to electric motorcycle enthusiasts looking for both performance and versatility.
