The DAF CF electric heavy-duty truck has been officially selected by Hungarian logistics provider Waberer’s as its first zero-emission distribution fleet.
This is also the first time the DAF CF electric truck has been delivered to Central Europe and will operate up to 500 km per day around the Hungarian capital Budapest for the transport of all types of cargo.
Previously, Waberer’s had also placed an order for 450 units of the new generation DAF XF truck. With the addition of the new DAF CF Electric fleet, Waberer further underlines the fact that they appreciate the importance of reducing their environmental footprint.

“Fully electric trucks offer an opportunity for the transportation sector to play its role in facing the challenges of global warming and local air quality,” said Dewa Waberer’s Barna Erdelyi in an official broadcast on Saturday (18/6/2022).
Furthermore, Barna stated that Waberer’s will be committed to continuing to provide durable and sustainable logistics fleet solutions. “We have decided to start the road to green. The expansion of our fleet is the next milestone on this route and this fully electric vehicle will not be the last.”

In 2018, DAF was the first European truck manufacturer to introduce a fully electric distribution truck. The DAF CF Electric, which is available in 4×2 and rigid 6×2 tractor variants, has been developed in response to the growing demand for better air quality and lower CO2 emissions in the transportation sector.
Richard Zink, Director of Marketing & Sales at DAF, said the Dutch truck manufacturer has been supplying electric trucks for many years and has brought real experience and extensive development.
“In addition to helping our customers find the right electric truck for their specific application, we also offer integrated solutions, including efficient charging systems and advanced route simulation programs to optimize the company’s day-to-day business.”
