Q-Park is expanding its partnership with Dutch software provider GreenFlux to manage electric vehicle charging infrastructure at its parking locations in Germany and Ireland. The transition will cover more than 700 charging stations in Germany and approximately 120 in Ireland. The move follows the migration of around 1,700 charging stations at Q-Park locations in the Netherlands to GreenFlux’s Charge Point Management System (CPMS). Voltix has opened its first public fast-charging station for electric heavy-duty trucks in Vierzon, central France, with four charging points capable of delivering up to 1.5 MW each. Qwello Benelux has acquired a majority stake in Dutch charging infrastructure specialist Groen-Eco, expanding its business beyond its traditional focus on public charging concessions. The acquisition was completed on September 21. Based in Rotterdam, Groen-Eco operates 720 charging units with more than 1,400 charging points across over 230 locations in the Netherlands, according to the company. Swiss charging provider Joya has launched by consolidating the electric vehicle charging activities of Energie 360° Mobilität, Gofast, Swisscharge and Move Mobility. With around 7,500 public charging points, including 1,800 fast-charging points, the company enters the market as Switzerland’s largest charge point operator (CPO). The new company brings together charging businesses developed and acquired by Energie 360°, the utility company majority-owned by the City of Zurich. French charging provider Electra has commissioned its most powerful urban high-power charging site in Europe to date in Madrid. The Carabanchel Electralinera features 26 charging points with charging capacities of up to 600 kW and is designed to serve both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The charging hub is located between Madrid’s A-42 and M-40 roads, providing access to major traffic routes. Portuguese manufacturer Efacec has introduced its new “Charging Hub” platform, a modular charging solution designed to support charging parks with up to 16 DC charging points and a combined power output of 1.6 MW. The platform is designed for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and consolidates charging technology, medium-voltage equipment, automation, grid integration and software into a single system. French energy provider Sorégies has agreed to acquire BP’s fast-charging business in France, including more than 600 existing charging points and nearly 200 additional points under development. The transaction also covers charging equipment, transformer stations and the associated development, construction and operations team. The deal includes 32 operational BP Pulse sites with more than 600 charging points, along with 14 sites under development that are expected to add nearly 200 further points. Lidl Netherlands has completed the rollout of electric truck charging infrastructure at its six distribution centres, with the latest installation at its Waddinxveen logistics hub.
