Electra has integrated 47 Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Hubs into its European fast-charging network under a new premium partnership with Mercedes-Benz’s MB.CHARGE Public service. The integration took effect on November 1, 2026, and was announced by the companies on November 3. It adds 374 charge points to Electra’s network, which now comprises more than 800 stations and 5,000 charge points across 10 countries.
The agreement expands charging access for Mercedes-Benz customers while increasing Electra’s presence in key European markets. Germany accounts for 31 of the newly integrated hubs, while Austria contributes another six.
Charging Access and Customer Benefits
Under the partnership, MB.CHARGE Public customers can access Electra charging stations through the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem, including the vehicle’s infotainment system and the Mercedes-Benz app.
Depending on their MB.CHARGE Public tariff, customers can also receive preferential charging rates at Electra locations across Europe. Compatible charging points can be reserved through the vehicle before arrival, allowing drivers to plan charging stops in advance.
The companies highlighted Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland as markets where the expanded network will provide additional charging options.
Electra reports network availability of more than 98.5%, with charging power reaching up to 600 kW at selected locations. Access to the MB.CHARGE Public digital service requires a separate charging contract with a selected third-party provider.
Mercedes-Benz Hubs Retain Existing Charging Experience
The 47 Mercedes-Benz hubs will continue to provide their established on-site charging experience following their integration into Electra’s network, according to the announcement.
Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra, said the company would maintain the standards associated with the Mercedes-Benz charging locations.
“Mercedes-Benz built charging hubs to a standard few networks match. We are proud they chose Electra to carry that standard forward.”
De Meaux described the agreement as a milestone for Electra’s expansion in Germany and across Europe.
Nico Dettmer, global head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions, highlighted the wider reach created by the partnership.
“adding more than 800 locations to our premium partnership network.”
Electra Expands Its German Charging Network
The integration increases Electra’s German network from 50 to 81 stations. The company also plans to invest €200 million in Germany next year as it continues expanding its charging infrastructure.
