NIO has just announced the sale of their electric vehicles in March and the first quarter of 2022. By March 2022, NIO had delivered a total of 9,985 to their customers. This number is an increase of 37.6% over the same month in 2021. Of all deliveries in March, including 1,726 ES8, 5,064 ES6 and 3,032 EC6, and 163 ET7 the first deliveries to consumers were on March 28, 2022. Volkswagen has just announced the recall of more than 100,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles worldwide due to the risk of fire, a Volkswagen spokesman said. There are approximately 42,300 Volkswagen Passat, Golf, Tiguan and Arteon owners worldwide who will be notified of the fire risk. The brand under the affected Volkswagen Group is Audi, which had to recall 24,400 of their vehicles. Other brands affected by this recall are Seat and Skoda. NIO, through one of its company presidents, Qin Lihong, announced that it will launch the latest electric vehicle ES7 at the end of May 2022. SK E&S has just announced that it has acquired EverCharge, a startup focused on charging electric vehicles in the US. In the company’s release, there was no mention of the value of the acquisition. SK E&S, part of the SK Group has traditionally been a natural gas provider before expanding their business to renewable energy. Dutch truck manufacturer DAF has announced that it has delivered five CF Electric tractor head trucks to the UK’s largest e-commerce company, Amazon.
