Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng has outlined its product and retail strategy for the UK in 2026, confirming the launch of an updated G6 SUV early in the year and the arrival of its X9 seven-seat flagship model by mid-year.
The company said the refreshed G6 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2026, incorporating more than 20,000 engineering refinements aimed at European driving conditions while retaining current UK pricing. Xpeng, which entered the UK market in February 2025, also plans to expand its retail footprint to several major cities as part of its growth strategy.
The updated G6 features revisions across chassis and suspension tuning, steering calibration, electric powertrain behaviour, battery management and noise, vibration and harshness performance, according to the company. Xpeng said interior materials have also been upgraded, with changes focused on improving comfort, stability and vibration isolation on UK roads.

Pricing for the 2026 G6 range will remain unchanged, starting at £39,990 for the rear-wheel-drive Standard Range version and £44,990 for the Long-Range variant. A new Dual-Motor AWD Performance Black Edition will be introduced at £49,990, delivering a combined output of 358 kW and 660 Nm of torque. The company said the model accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.13 seconds.
Alongside the G6 update, Xpeng confirmed the UK debut of the X9, a seven-seat electric model built on its SEPA2.0 platform with an 800-volt electrical architecture. The X9, described by the automaker as featuring a “starship-inspired” design, is aimed at families and commercial users seeking a larger-format electric vehicle. UK pricing and detailed specifications have not yet been disclosed.

Xpeng also plans to broaden its UK dealer network during 2026, targeting cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh. “We will continue to grow our retailer network in 2026. However, this will be done strategically, focusing on locations convenient for our future customers,” said Jonny Miller, sales director at Xpeng UK.
The brand is distributed in the UK by International Motors Ltd, which also represents Subaru, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Motors and GWM. International Motors operates vehicle preparation facilities in Sheerness and a parts warehouse in West Bromwich.
Xpeng said additional models are under development for potential UK introduction later in 2026, though it did not provide further details.
