Ford Pro is presenting the full body range of its new all-electric Transit City at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, alongside a new 96-kWh battery option for the larger E-Transit and data-based fleet services aimed at reducing vehicle downtime.
The products are at the centre of Ford Pro’s showcase in Hall 13, Stand C90, as the company targets commercial customers seeking greater efficiency, payload flexibility and driving range from electric vans.
Transit City Expands Beyond Panel Van
Following its digital premiere in March, the all-electric Transit City is making its public trade-show debut in Hannover. The model starts at €35,990 and is being displayed in several body configurations.
The Transit City panel van is available in two length and height combinations, L1H1 and L2H2. Ford Pro is now also presenting box-body and flatbed versions, expanding the model’s potential applications for businesses such as bakeries, landscape gardeners and delivery services.
Ford Pro is particularly highlighting the Transit City’s use as a chassis for custom conversions in the 1-tonne payload segment. Box-body and flatbed configurations can be ordered directly through Transit Centres as part of the company’s one-stop-shop offering.

E-Transit Gets Larger Battery
Ford Pro is also expanding its electric commercial vehicle offering in the 2-tonne segment with a new 96-kWh battery for the E-Transit.
The larger battery provides up to 432 kilometres of WLTP range, an increase of 115 kilometres compared with the standard 68-kWh version.
The new E-Transit supports DC fast charging at up to 180 kW. Ford Pro says the vehicle can add up to 120 kilometres of range in 10 minutes, while charging from 10% to 80% takes 28 minutes.
The 96-kWh E-Transit can now be ordered as both a panel van and a double-cab model.
Fleet Uptime Services Launch In Germany
Alongside its vehicle updates, Ford Pro is introducing Ford Uptime Services and Ford Uptime Insights to fleet operators across Germany.
The subscription-based software services use connected-vehicle data to identify potential technical issues at an early stage, with the aim of reducing unplanned downtime.
Ford Pro says the services follow a pilot involving around 11,000 connected vehicles. When maintenance requirements are identified, agents work with Ford’s nationwide dealer network to arrange the necessary spare parts and coordinate workshop appointments.
“For our commercial customers, every productive kilometre counts,” said Wilhelm Buchmüller, Ford Pro Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“With Ford Uptime Services and Ford Uptime Insights, we are rolling out solutions nationwide that make maintenance needs visible earlier and help fleet operators reduce downtime.”
Electric Commercial Vehicle Focus
Ford Pro is using the Transit City and updated E-Transit to broaden its electric commercial vehicle portfolio across different operating requirements.
The Transit City adds additional body options for urban delivery and specialised applications, while the 96-kWh E-Transit provides greater range for larger commercial fleets. The new uptime services extend the offering into vehicle maintenance and fleet operations, with the company targeting lower downtime alongside the transition to electric vehicles.
