Xpeng UK has confirmed that the new G6 will enter the British market in the first quarter of 2026, bringing a significant technical update that includes an 800-volt silicon carbide platform, next-generation battery technology and a high-performance AWD Black Edition priced below £50,000. The expansion marks one of Xpeng’s most competitive entries into the UK EV segment to date.
The 2026 G6 lineup is headlined by the dual-motor AWD Performance Black Edition, which produces 358 kW and 660 Nm of torque, enabling 0–62 mph acceleration in 4.13 seconds. The model features enhanced chassis tuning and all-wheel-drive dynamics aimed at improving stability and handling. Standard G6 variants include a high-efficiency heat pump and Xpeng’s Heat Boost Technology to support cold-weather performance.

A major update for 2026 is the introduction of an 80.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that removes cobalt, nickel and manganese from the production process. The company says the new chemistry increases lifespan by 30 per cent. Combined with Xpeng’s Full-Domain 800V High-Voltage SiC Platform, the G6 now supports peak charging speeds of up to 451 kW, allowing a 10–80 per cent charge in roughly 12 minutes according to manufacturer estimates.
Exterior refinements include a new 1,942 mm Starlight LED light bar, redesigned rear spoiler, body-coloured wheel arches and an updated rear diffuser. The AWD Black Edition adds 20-inch black alloy wheels and smoked black exterior accents. Inside, the G6 features the upgraded XOS cockpit system with improved responsiveness, 50W wireless charging panels and front seats offering heating, ventilation and massage functions.

Safety features include a reinforced 4-3-4 structural battery layout with ballistic-grade shielding designed to withstand an 80-ton side crush load. The XPILOT ASSIST driver-assistance suite comes standard, offering Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centring Control and a Surround View Camera System.
The UK pricing structure for the 2026 G6 is as follows: £39,990 for the RWD Standard Range, £44,990 for the RWD Long Range and £49,990 for the AWD Performance Black Edition. Xpeng plans to begin deliveries in the first quarter of 2026.
