XPeng delivers 34,561 vehicles in the first quarter, up 159 percent year on year

XPeng Motors delivered 15,414 vehicles in March 2022. The number of deliveries in March was up 202 percent compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, compared to the month from February, it increased by 148 percent. According to figures released on the company’s website.

In March, Xpeng delivered 9,183 units of the flagship P7 sedan. This number makes it the first time the P7 has delivered more than 9,000 units per month. Meanwhile, for the other models, the P5 delivered 4,398 units in March, and 1,833 units of the G3 series SUV were delivered.

A total of XPeng delivered 34,561 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. This number is up 159 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021. Overall, XPeng delivered more than 170,000 vehicles.

In order to expedite the delivery of existing orders, XPeng has completed the renovation of the Zhaoqing factory during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Last month, most of China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers raised the prices of their products due to rising raw material prices. XPeng also raised its model’s pre-subsidized price by RMB 10,100 to RMB 20,000 ( $3,140) on March 21.

Last month, Xpeng announced that it has reached the milestone of producing 100,000 units for the P7 model. This achievement is in itself a record for the P7 smart sports sedan.

Last month, Xpeng announced received pre-orders for the P5 electric sedan in four European countries to continue its aggressive international expansion to rival Tesla.
