Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle unit of Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, announced on Monday that it will officially launch the SU7 Ultra, the high-performance variant of its debut electric sedan, on February 27 at 7 p.m. Beijing time.
The SU7 Ultra was first unveiled on October 29, 2023, and entered pre-sales at a price of RMB 814,900 ($112,420). Xiaomi previously reported that the model received 3,680 pre-orders within the first 10 minutes of pre-sales.

The SU7 Ultra is positioned as a flagship offering, priced nearly four times higher than the base SU7, which starts at RMB 215,900.
At the same launch event, Xiaomi will also introduce the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone, marking the debut of what the company calls its “two most high-end products” in its 15-year history, according to founder and CEO Lei Jun. “Ultra is the ultimate pursuit and pure aspiration,” Lei wrote on Weibo, describing the launch as “the beginning of Xiaomi’s march towards the ultra-high-end.”

Xiaomi delivered over 135,000 units of the SU7 in 2024, and the company has set a sales target of 10,000 units for the SU7 Ultra this year. Xiaomi’s overall EV sales target for 2025 is 300,000 vehicles. Beyond the SU7 series, the company is expected to expand its lineup with the YU7 electric SUV, which is anticipated to launch in mid-2025.
