Toyota has introduced the 2026 C-HR BEV for the North American market, marking the brand’s latest step in expanding its electric vehicle offerings.
Built on the e-TNGA platform, the compact crossover features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and is projected to deliver an estimated range of up to 290 miles (467 km) on a full charge.

The C-HR BEV is powered by dual eAxles generating a combined output of 338 horsepower, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0â96 kph) in about five seconds. A 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pack is mounted beneath the vehicleâs floor, contributing to a low center of gravity and improved handling.
Toyota has integrated a battery pre-conditioning system designed to enhance DC fast charging performance in colder climates. The C-HR supports DC fast charging through the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, capable of charging the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions.

An 11 kW onboard AC charger supports both Level 1 and Level 2 charging, with remote charging control available via the Toyota smartphone app.
Measuring 4.52 meters in length, 1.87 meters in width, and 1.62 meters in height, the C-HR BEV offers 25.4 cubic feet (720 litres) of cargo space behind the rear seats. The cabin is equipped with a 14-inch multimedia touchscreen, dual wireless phone chargers, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system features Toyota Audio Multimedia with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard, incorporating a suite of active safety features such as Pre-Collision System, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Additional technologies include Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and Safe Exit Alert.
The Star Safety System adds core safety functions such as vehicle stability and traction control, anti-lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution, and Smart Stop Technology.

The 2026 C-HR BEV will be available in SE and XSE trims, with options including 20-inch alloy wheels, a digital rear-view mirror, a panoramic view monitor, and two-tone exterior paint. Toyota has not yet released pricing details for the new model, which is expected to reach U.S. dealerships in 2026.
