Nio will begin deliveries of its flagship executive sedan, the ET9, at the end of March, company founder and CEO William Li said on Tuesday. The announcement refines the company’s earlier plan to start deliveries sometime in March.
Li provided the update during a conversation on Weibo with Richard Yu, managing director of Huawei’s intelligent vehicle solutions business unit, inviting him to test the ET9 at that time. Yu had previously praised the model at an event on Monday while discussing the safety performance of the Maextro S800 luxury sedan.

Nio launched the ET9 at its annual Nio Day event on December 21, 2024, pricing the standard edition at RMB 788,000 ($108,820), including the battery pack. The company also introduced a limited premiere edition, priced at RMB 818,000, with only 999 units available.
Under Nio’s battery-as-a-service (BaaS) plan, the standard edition is offered at RMB 660,000 with a monthly battery rental fee of RMB 1,128, while the limited edition starts at RMB 690,000 under the same plan.

Initial deliveries will prioritize the limited edition model, as previously stated by Nio. The company reported that all 999 units of the limited edition sold out by the morning of December 22. On December 26, Nio introduced a signature edition priced at RMB 808,000, positioned between the standard and limited editions.
Li did not specify an exact delivery date, but Nio has historically chosen the 28th day of a given month to commence deliveries of new models.
