Mercedes-Benz has just announced the pricing structure for the AMG EQS electric sedan. In the announcement, with the announcement that the AMG 53 version is on sale starting at $147,500 plus a $1,050 destination charge.
The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 can be obtained starting in late summer and will be available in two trim levels, Exclusive and Pinnacle.
The two trim levels feature standard features such as a 56-inch Hyperscreen and an augmented reality head-up display. Mercedes has not revealed the standard feature list for either trim. These features will be revealed on their debut date.
Without the boost function, the EQS 53 has 658 hp and 950 Nm (700 pound-feet) of torque. For acceleration from 0-60 mph, just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 220 km / h (136.7 mph). With AMG Dynamic Plus increasing power, acceleration from 0-60 mph is just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 uses standard adaptive air suspension and rear-wheel steering, as well as all-wheel drive.
The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 is equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack with a usable capacity of 107.8 kWh. The range of this model is not yet rated by the EPA, but if we compare the WLTP rating of the model 53 with the lower-tier EQS 580, the latter is rated at about 110 km more (about 70 miles), although they have the same battery and weigh roughly the same.
