Lucid Group reported sharply higher vehicle production in 2025, more than doubling output from the previous year, as the luxury electric carmaker worked through shifting demand conditions and prepared for global expansion.
Lucid said it produced 18,378 vehicles in 2025, up 104% from a year earlier, while deliveries rose 55% to 15,841 vehicles. The results came in within the company’s revised production guidance after Lucid trimmed its original target last summer, citing market volatility and external pressures on electric vehicle demand.

Production accelerated toward the end of the year. In the fourth quarter alone, Lucid built 8,412 vehicles, up 116% from the third quarter, while deliveries increased 31% to 5,345 units.
The company had reduced its 2025 production outlook to a range of 18,000 to 20,000 vehicles following its second-quarter earnings report in August. Speaking on Bloomberg Television at the time, interim chief executive Peter Rawlinson’s successor, Marc Winterhoff, said the company was working to meet its targets despite headwinds. “We’re doing everything we can in order to get there,” Winterhoff said, adding that Lucid expects to begin delivering its Gravity sport utility vehicle in Europe in early 2026.

Winterhoff also acknowledged that the expiration of the U.S. federal electric vehicle tax credit of up to $7,500 in September weighed on demand. “We are still working through our backlog, so we are a little bit insulated,” he said. “But definitely, there is a slowdown, there’s no question about it.”
Lucid has been broadening its product lineup to support growth. In November, the company introduced the Gravity Touring, the latest variant of its flagship electric SUV, ahead of its public debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The model is now available to order in the United States, with deliveries underway for selected configurations.

Beyond the U.S. market, Lucid is also expanding its manufacturing footprint in the Middle East. In December, the company said it was progressing toward full-scale vehicle production at its facility in Saudi Arabia, moving beyond partial assembly. Faisal Sultan, president of Lucid Motors Middle East, said the site in King Abdullah Economic City is expected to become a key export hub once fully operational.
Lucid said the Saudi facility, where several production buildings have already been completed, is central to its long-term strategy to diversify manufacturing and support global deliveries as demand evolves.
