Lucid Group has introduced its first certified pre-owned (CPO) electric vehicle programme, marking a new step for the luxury EV maker as it seeks to attract a wider range of buyers amid a competitive market.
The programme, branded Lucid Recharged, offers factory-backed inspection, reconditioning and additional warranty coverage for used Lucid vehicles. The company said eligible cars must be less than six years old, have fewer than 62,000 miles, and come from a single previous owner before undergoing a 160-plus-point inspection.

“Lucid Recharged certified pre-owned isn’t just a used car – it’s a Lucid reborn,” Erwin Raphael, Lucid’s senior vice president of revenue, said in a statement.
All Recharged vehicles retain Lucid’s original four-year or 50,000-mile factory warranty, with the company adding a further 12-month or 12,000-mile limited warranty, roadside assistance, and verified vehicle history documentation. Customers can also choose to activate additional software features, including DreamDrive Pro, Lucid’s advanced driver-assistance system.

Lucid said the initiative is intended to provide buyers with greater confidence than a standard used-car purchase while supporting resale values for its vehicles. The automaker is currently offering the certified pre-owned models alongside new-vehicle incentives, including credits on select Lucid Air and Gravity models.
The launch comes as Lucid continues to adjust its commercial strategy amid slowing demand growth for premium electric vehicles globally.
