Kempower, a global leader in DC fast-charging solutions, has announced that Bhasker Kaushal will take over as President and CEO of the company on June 2, 2025. The current CEO, Tomi Ristimäki, will remain with the company until December 2025 in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
Ristimäki, who joined Kempower in 2019 when the company was still in its startup phase, has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s global presence in the DC charging market. Under his leadership, Kempower has expanded its market share and positioned itself as a prominent player in the fast-charging sector.

“Tomi has built a strong foundation for Kempower, growing the company from a startup to a global industry leader,” said Vesa Laisi, Chairman of the Board. “He is renowned for his deep expertise and growth-oriented leadership, which have been instrumental in the company’s success. As we enter this next stage of development, it is the right time to pass the leadership baton to Bhasker Kaushal.”
Kaushal, who will relocate to Helsinki to assume his new role, brings a wealth of leadership experience from his tenure at Sensitech, part of Carrier Corporation. With a background in strategy development, technology leadership, and driving revenue growth, Kaushal’s expertise aligns well with Kempower’s ambitions for future growth. He has previously led teams and initiatives that contributed to significant business expansion and innovation at Carrier.

Ristimäki, reflecting on his tenure, expressed pride in Kempower’s journey from a private startup to a publicly listed company. “I am confident that this is the right time for both the company and me personally to transition,” he said. “I will be available in an advisory role to support Bhasker and the Kempower team through this important period of change.”
