GWM Ora Expands Presence in the UK with New Sales and Service Centers

Great Wall Motors (GWM), a Chinese carmaker, has announced the opening of three new Sales and Service Centers in the UK for its Ora brand. These locations, in Belfast, Chorley, and Exeter, will open their doors on March 6th, 13th, and 24th, respectively, with the Charles Hurst Group in Belfast being the first showroom to feature the Ora model. The company plans to further expand its infrastructure in the UK this year, with a goal of selling 5,000 units by the end of 2023.

In addition to traditional retail work, GWM has adopted an omnichannel approach for the Ora brand. Customers can reserve vehicles through ‘Ora Online’ or opt for home delivery. This comes after the introduction of the Ora and Wey brands in 2021, with the Ora Cat (known as the “Funky Cat” in the UK) boasting a 126 kW electric motor and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds.

With a focus on retail and an omnichannel approach, GWM hopes to make a strong impression in the UK market with its Ora brand.

“As we scale the GWM ORA brand in the UK, it is vital that we have the right infrastructure in place to give customers a quality brand experience. We are delighted to partner with Chorley Group, Charles Hurst Group and City West Country who will be a fantastic addition to our network of retailers, providing a premium service to customers.” Toby Marshall, Managing Director, GWM ORA UK
