Foxconn Model V electric pickup debuts, capable of carrying payloads of up to 1 ton

Foxconn has expanded its vehicle model lineup with the launch of the Model V pickup truck. The Model V joins Foxconn’s previous models, the Model C SUV and Model E sedan.

As a hardware supplier for Apple, Foxconn was previously rumored to be a manufacturer of electric cars made by Apple. This is unlikely to happen because Foxconn has signed partnerships with several large companies such as Stellantis, Rivian, and Geely.

The Model V pickup truck is built on Foxconn’s latest Hon Hai platform, which is also designed to cater to the sporty sedan, SUV and GT market. Foxconn previously said it would use batteries with power outputs ranging from 134 bhp to 858 bhp.

Targeted mileage figures also stretch from 186 miles to over 497 miles. Given this electric car comes in the form of a pickup truck, it looks like the Model V will have a mileage figure of 186 miles. Foxconn claims the Model V can carry a payload of one tonne and a towing capacity of three tons.

Coming with a five-seat dual cab design, the Model V also features some impressive technologies such as digital rearview mirrors and an electric foot-operated tailgate.

On the inside, the Model V looks like it will carry interior features like the Model C SUV, with a large infotainment screen on the dashboard, digital driver display and touch sensitive buttons to adjust the climate control function.
