Ram Truck has recently revealed the much-anticipated technical specifications of its 2025 Ram 1500 REV, the all-electric pickup truck set to hit the market soon. In February 2023, the company had introduced the model, but it didn’t provide many details. However, now the truck maker is ready to get into the nitty-gritty of its upcoming EV, and it’s impressive.
Firstly, the Ram 1500 REV can travel up to 500 miles on a single charge, which is a significant achievement for an electric vehicle. The truck’s two 250-kilowatt electric drive modules, one for each axle, produce 654 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to reach 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. Moreover, it can tow up to 14,000 pounds and carry a payload of 2,700 pounds, making it a powerful and versatile vehicle.
The 1500 REV has two battery options, the standard 168 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 350 miles, and an optional 229 kWh pack that can go up to 500 miles on a single charge. Ram is also teasing an XR trim that can exceed these already impressive numbers.
The truck can support up to 800-volt DC fast charging at 350 kilowatts, allowing it to recharge 110 miles in just ten minutes. The 1500 REV can also use bi-directional charging to power other devices, vehicles, homes, and even the grid. The onboard power hookup can provide up to 7.2 kilowatts, and the plug in the frunk offers 3.6 kilowatts, which can be used simultaneously.
The Ram 1500 REV comes with an active-leveling air suspension, adaptive dampers, and a multi-link independent rear suspension. The truck offers five suspension modes, namely Entry/Exit, Aero, Normal, Off-Road 1, and Off-Road 2. However, Ram hasn’t disclosed the differences between these modes yet. The tires available include 22-inch diameter 275/50 Pirelli Scorpion all-season rubber.
The truck also offers ample storage space, including a power-opening frunk with 15 cubic feet of storage and a RamBox with a 115-volt outlet and room for gear.
