Everything You Should Know About Eysing PF40 Electric Moped

Eysing, a Dutch company that produces premium electric mopeds, has unveiled the PF40, a new model with a retro aesthetic that has been redesigned by Pininfarina, an Italian design firm known for its work on classic Ferrari cars. Pininfarina has recently been branching out into designing various forms of electric mobility, including the Vmoto Soco concept.

The Eysing PF40 is an updated version of the company’s Pioneer e-moped. It features a hand-crafted 1.5kW direct drive hub motor and is available in two different versions, one with a top speed of 15.5 mph and the other with a top speed of 28 mph.

Pininfarina has given the new PF40 a “retro-futuristic” design inspired by 1930s motorcycles. It features an analogue tachometer and vintage-style headlight, but has a sleek, minimalist body. The changes to the PF40 go beyond aesthetics, as Pininfarina has also made improvements to the chassis and structure to enhance the driving experience.

The motor has been relocated to a lower position on the vehicle, and there is a transparent storage compartment located next to the saddle. However, it is advisable not to leave valuable items in plain sight in the transparent compartment.

The PF40 also has aluminum-spoked wheels and slim front suspension forks. It has a battery that provides a range of up to 50 miles, the same as the regular Pioneer. The Eysing PF40 was unveiled at the Masters Expo 2022 in Amsterdam and is now available for pre-sale. The first models are expected to be delivered to customers in early 2024, starting at a price of ā‚¬13,870 (Ā£11,900).
