Geely Auto has launched its EX5 all-electric SUV in Australia and New Zealand, marking its expansion into Oceania. The unveiling took place on March 11 at Sydney’s Luna Park, where the company also introduced its international user brand, Geely Go.
By the end of 2024, Geely plans to expand into the UK, Brazil, and South Africa, adding 300+ new sales and service outlets, bringing its total international network to over 1,100 locations, according to Jerry Gan, CEO of Geely Auto Group.

The EX5 has gained traction in multiple markets, securing over 1,000 orders in Indonesia within a week of its launch last month. The model has also garnered interest in the Philippines and Costa Rica, with first deliveries in Thailand completed earlier this month. Geely expects the EX5 to reach more than 20 markets by the end of 2025, further strengthening its global footprint.
Built on the GEA Global Intelligent Electric Architecture, the EX5 features the Geely Short Blade Battery and CTB structure. Over the next three years, the company plans to introduce eight additional NEV models based on this platform, targeting various market segments.

In Australia, Geely established a regional subsidiary in 2024 and currently operates 22 dealerships in the country, along with two in New Zealand. The company aims to expand its dealer network to over 100 locations across both nations in the future.
