Deutsche Bank predicts BYD Group will see a 29% increase in total vehicle sales for 2025, with a projected 5.52 million units sold. Analyst Wang Bin’s team highlighted key brand growth, with BYD expected to sell 5.1 million units, a 25% year-on-year increase. Notable increases are also expected for the Denza and Fang Cheng Bao brands, projected to rise by 100% and 184% respectively.
In its annual sales forecast, Deutsche Bank projects BYD’s overseas market sales to surge by 92%, reaching 800,000 units. In 2024, BYD sold over 4.27 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), including significant overseas expansion, which saw 417,204 units sold internationally.
The group’s BYD brand was the main contributor, with 4.04 million units sold, while the Denza brand experienced a slight decline.
In line with its growth strategy, BYD recently launched the Xia MPV, marking the first model in its new Xia family, and is set to introduce the Tang L SUV and Han L sedan in early 2025.
These new models, combined with the introduction of two ultra-large-size MPVs, are expected to strengthen BYD’s portfolio across various price segments.
Furthermore, the company is poised to introduce autonomous driving features in its vehicles, with plans to include highway NOA in more affordable models and urban NOA in premium offerings.
