BYD has revealed official images of its flagship Han L sedan and Tang L SUV from the Dynasty series, ahead of their scheduled debut. The design introduction event is set for January 17 at 2 p.m. Beijing time.
The company released two images of each model, showcasing the exterior designs of the vehicles for the first time. This follows an earlier teaser from January 3, which provided limited visual details.

Both models also appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) latest catalog on January 10, where key specifications were disclosed.
The Han L and Tang L models feature variants equipped with dual electric motors, including one with a peak power of 580 kW, a rare achievement in the automotive industry.

The Han L accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds, while the Tang L completes the same in 3.9 seconds, delivering performance on par with many sports cars.
First launched in 2020, the Han series represents BYD’s entry into the mid-to-high-end sedan segment. The Tang series, originally introduced at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, has undergone several updates and remains a prominent part of the company’s portfolio.

In 2024, the Han family sold 258,452 units, reflecting a 13.17% year-on-year increase and accounting for 6.05% of BYD’s annual sales. The Tang family recorded 153,365 units sold, a rise of 11.80% year-on-year, contributing 3.59% to overall sales, according to industry data.
