Jidu Auto, a subsidiary of Baidu that develops electric vehicles, unveiled a “robot” concept car which is the first vehicle unveiled by the Chinese internet giant. What caught the eye of the concept car was that it didn’t have door handles. Owners can enter the vehicle using a voice recognition system, as revealed in an online press conference held on the Xirang app, which is themed on the Baidu metaverse. MG Motor has recently officially unveiled a new electric car whose name is taken from Chinese mythology and the Disney movie, namely Mulan. The Cadillac Lyriq is officially available for reservation in the Chinese market. The luxury vehicle brand offers three options for the Lyriq, and interested customers will have to pay RMB 5,000 ($750) for a reservation. The two options for the rear-wheel drive version of the Cadillac Lyriq start at RMB 439,700 and 459,700, respectively. Delivery is expected from late September to early October. Qiantu introduced its newest electric-powered sports car called the K20 which is claimed to have a range of 500 km per charge. The K20 isn’t Qiantu’s first all-electric sportscar. In 2016, Qiantu launched the K50 at the New York Auto Show with the ambition to find customers in the American market. WeRide Sensor Suite 5.0, the latest generation of automatic driving sensor kit just released WeRide on Tuesday. WeRide also revealed that the robotaxi with this kit has entered the testing phase and large-scale application.
