Tesla China in July sold 28,217 electric vehicles, down 14.41 percent from 32,968 units in the same month last year. That number is down 64.24 percent from 78,906 units in June, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). The decline was due to an upgrade at Giga Shanghai which affected its production capacity. For the export market, Giga Shanghai delivered 19,756 vehicles in July, which translates to 8,461 units for the Chinese market.
