Tesla marked a significant milestone in Norway with the unveiling of its 2,000th Supercharger stall, adorned with a distinctive wrap featuring the Norwegian flag. The electric vehicle (EV) giant showcased the achievement through photos shared on its charging account on X, underscoring its commitment to expanding infrastructure in the world’s leading EV market.
Located near Vøringsfossen, Norway’s renowned waterfall, the site also represents Tesla’s 15th Supercharger stall in the vicinity, according to the company’s social media post.

This celebration echoes Tesla’s past recognitions, including a similar tribute for Denmark’s 500th Supercharger stall adorned with the Danish flag earlier this year.
Norway, recognized for its robust EV adoption, saw 82% of automotive sales as battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in 2023, solidifying its position as a global leader in sustainable transportation. Tesla’s dominance in the region was underscored by the sale of 23,088 Model Y units last year, surpassing competitors like the Volkswagen ID.4 by a significant margin.

Despite labor challenges and union pressures in neighboring Sweden, Tesla has continued to expand its footprint in both countries, defying logistical hurdles to maintain its market presence and install new Superchargers.
Last year, Tesla’s updated Model 3 was crowned Norway’s top vehicle by Motor, further cementing its popularity in a market that favors BEVs.
