Smartports is developing a data-driven platform to identify and prioritize parking areas that could be converted into integrated energy hubs. The system will combine automated data collection, market intelligence and AI-driven analysis to support lead generation, sales pipeline development and business expansion.
Large parking areas can accommodate local solar generation, battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, but identifying suitable sites and engaging property owners can require significant time and coordination.
The platform is designed to collect, organize and enrich company, property and market data. It will then assess potential opportunities against Smartports’ commercial and project criteria, helping its sales team focus on prospects with stronger development potential.
“Our ability to scale depends not only on how efficiently we deliver energy hubs, but also on how effectively we identify the right opportunities. By combining AI, data and our market expertise, we are building a more systematic and scalable approach to growth,” said Julian Lundberg, CEO of Smartports.
Integration With SmartHub
Smartports plans to integrate the platform with SmartHub, its proprietary business system. The integration is intended to connect market identification and prospect qualification with sales follow-up, while using insights from commercial activities to refine future prioritization.
The company expects the system to reduce reliance on manual prospecting and create a more consistent process for identifying potential projects.
“We are building a digital growth engine alongside our physical energy infrastructure. The objective is to generate more qualified opportunities, shorten the path to new projects and support continued growth without increasing manual work at the same rate,” said Sanskar Songara, CTO of Smartports.
The platform is intended to support Smartports’ efforts to expand its energy hub business. The company has not disclosed a deployment timeline or quantified the expected impact on lead generation, project development or operating costs.
