Yijing Auto, a premium intelligent vehicle brand jointly developed by Dongfeng Motor and Huawei, has released initial teaser images of its first production model, a large six-seat SUV, the company said.
The images, published on the brand’s official WeChat account on Jan. 23, show a camouflaged vehicle undergoing cold-weather performance testing. The tests follow the rollout of the first tooling prototype on Dec. 22, 2025, indicating that the programme has moved into a vehicle validation phase.

The vehicle is positioned as a flagship family-oriented SUV and will feature Huawei’s Qiankun digital chassis, which the companies say is designed to enhance vehicle stability in low-traction conditions such as ice and snow. The teaser images also show a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, suggesting the model will be equipped with advanced driver assistance functions.
While full specifications have not been disclosed, the SUV’s proportions indicate a three-row layout, with a flat roofline and wide side windows aimed at maximising interior space. The design appears upright and utilitarian, consistent with other large SUVs in the premium segment.

Yijing is being developed under a partnership model that differs from Huawei’s earlier automotive collaborations. In this project, Huawei is providing broader involvement across product definition, software and hardware development, quality systems and supply chain management, while Dongfeng Motor is responsible for vehicle manufacturing and industrialisation.
The debut model is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, with a market launch planned for later in the year. Yijing has said it intends to introduce at least one new model each year as it builds out its product portfolio.
