Mercedes-Benz plans to launch 15 new or updated battery electric vehicles (BEVs) by 2027, most of them in its top-end segment, according to an investor presentation detailing the company’s model rollout strategy. The roadmap also includes 15 new or revised combustion engine models, with development split across three market tiers.
Two of the planned electric vehicles will sit in Mercedes’ entry-level segment, joining the newly confirmed CLA saloon and its estate variant, the CLA Shooting Brake. Three models are positioned in the mid-size “core” class, and ten are targeted at the high-end category, which Mercedes is prioritizing as part of its premium strategy. Among combustion-powered vehicles, nine models are planned for the top-end, four for the core segment, and two for entry-level.

The presentation did not identify individual models, but the silhouettes suggest a mix of saloons, estates, and SUVs. Analysts expect at least one compact SUV built on Mercedes’ MMA platform to follow the CLA line-up, likely serving as successors to the current GLA and GLB.
Mercedes is also revising its approach for the upcoming electric GLC, which is set to debut at the IAA Mobility show in September 2026. The model will be developed alongside its combustion-engine counterpart but on separate platforms, allowing each version to be optimized for its respective drivetrain while maintaining a similar exterior design. Other possible core-segment additions could include an electric GLC coupé-SUV and a C-Class electric estate.
For its top-end portfolio, Mercedes plans ten new or refreshed BEVs and nine combustion models, though details remain scarce. The company’s current EQE and EQS saloons, along with their SUV derivatives, have faced weak sales, prompting speculation that future iterations could adopt an 800-volt system and a revised design language. The investor presentation highlighted plans for more “iconic products” in both BEV and ICE categories, signaling a potential shift away from incremental facelifts toward major updates.
The high-end line-up is expected to include the luxury van VLE, electric AMG performance models, and potentially an all-electric sports saloon inspired by the GT XX concept car.
