Bulgarian EV charging software provider Ampeco has signed strategic deals with Italy’s Latitude and North America’s EVerged to support the rollout and management of charging infrastructure under both companies’ growing e-mobility operations.
In Italy, Ampeco will provide its platform to Latitude’s new brand Eleven, which aims to deploy 10,000 charging points across the country over the next five years. Latitude, leveraging more than a decade of renewable energy experience, plans to initially operate Eleven as an e-mobility service provider (eMSP) with roaming capabilities and later transition into a charge point operator (CPO), targeting enterprise workplace and destination charging.
“We already navigated a similar technical progress with solar energy in Italy 20 years ago, facing significant market resistance that we successfully overcame,” said Franco Valentini, General Manager at Latitude. “Now we’re applying that experience to electric mobility, leveraging our renewable energy expertise to provide truly sustainable charging solutions.”
Ampeco’s CEO Orlin Radev welcomed the deal, stating, “Latitude exemplifies the forward-thinking companies driving change in Europe’s EV charging landscape. Their deep renewable energy expertise combined with their focus on reliability and driver experience aligns perfectly with our mission to provide flexible, scalable software for successful EV charging operations.”
Across the Atlantic, Ampeco has inked a similar partnership with EVerged to modernize its North American EV charging network. The collaboration follows persistent platform challenges faced by EVerged, particularly with system outages and lost revenue due to lack of diagnostics.
“Our previous platform left chargers offline for weeks without any notification. We lost over six weeks of charging revenue because there was no way to remotely diagnose or resolve issues,” said Marcia Degnan, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer at EVerged. “With Ampeco, we can see instantly when chargers go down and resolve most problems without costly truck rolls.”
Ampeco claims its platform can resolve up to 80% of technical issues remotely and offers instant alerts, detailed analytics, and robust reporting tools. The first joint project between EVerged and Ampeco is already underway in San Diego, covering approximately 4,000 AC and DC charging points for both public and private use.
Backed by BMW i Ventures since 2023, Ampeco has raised around $26 million in additional funding and continues to grow its international footprint with partners like Hubject and E.ON Drive Infrastructure.
