The trend of the emergence of autonomous vehicles was realized by Yamaha and the giant Japanese manufacturer was very interested in making it. The proof of their seriousness is by creating a new company that specializes in making autonomous vehicles, Eve Autonomy.

The company also revealed that it had conducted a test run of the ‘Eve Auto Autonomous Transportation Service at the Panasonic factory. Yamaha’s mission is very clear to make autonomous vehicles in the future will be the vehicles that are needed by contemporary society in the future.

It should be noted that Panasonic’s relationship with Toyota has also been closely intertwined. Panasonic was present at F1 with Toyota between 2002 and 2009, and the two companies have also established a joint venture Prime Planet Energy & Solutions starting in 2020 to deliver batteries.

Actually autonomous vehicles are not new to Yamaha. Several years ago the manufacturer collaborated with electronics giant, Sony, to present an autonomous vehicle called the SC-1.

However, SC-1 is only for entertainment purposes, only used to carry advertisements that run through certain routes. Eits, but not only carrying advertisements, SC-1 can also carry passengers who will be entertained in it.
