Xiaomi has filed a new ultra-high-performance variant of its YU7 sport utility vehicle, signalling a further push into the premium electric performance segment, according to a regulatory catalogue released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The filing reveals a YU7 GT pure-electric SUV with a combined power output of 738 kilowatts, or about 990 horsepower, exceeding the 508 kW output of the most powerful YU7 variant currently on record. The YU7 GT uses a dual-motor setup, with a 288 kW motor at the front and a 450 kW motor at the rear.

In terms of size, the YU7 GT measures 5,015 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width and 1,597 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. That makes it slightly larger than the standard YU7, which is 4,999 mm long, 1,996 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall. The GT variant has a curb weight of 2,460 kg and a listed top speed of 300 km/h.
While Xiaomi did not disclose acceleration figures in the filing, the higher-output powertrain suggests a 0–100 km/h sprint approaching two seconds. By comparison, the YU7 Max variant, with front and rear motors rated at 220 kW and 288 kW respectively, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds.
The YU7 GT is configured as a five-seat SUV and features an all-black exterior design, setting it apart from the more colourful styling of other YU7 versions. It rides on wider tyres than the standard model, with 265/40R21 tyres at the front and 295/35R21 at the rear, compared with 245/55R19 tyres on the regular YU7.
