Xiaomi EV, the car-making division of Xiaomi, has reported that deliveries of its first model, the SU7 electric sedan, exceeded 20,000 units in January 2025, continuing a trend of four consecutive months with deliveries surpassing the 20,000 mark. The company did not specify exact delivery figures beyond the monthly totals.
In a statement posted on Weibo, Xiaomi EV revealed that its SU7 sedan, which was launched on March 28, 2024, has been well received. “We are committed to expanding our capacity to meet demand and aim to deliver 300,000 units in 2025,” the company stated.

The SU7 is available in three versions: Standard, Pro, and Max, with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($29,800), RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900, respectively. Deliveries of the Standard and Max versions began in April 2024, while the Pro version started deliveries in May. The SU7 has performed strongly, surpassing Tesla’s Model 3 deliveries in China four times in 2024.
Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun confirmed in a live video on December 31, 2024, that the company delivered over 135,000 vehicles during the year, with plans to achieve 300,000 deliveries in 2025. “This marks an important step forward for our EV ambitions,” Lei said.

The company has expanded its product lineup, with plans for a performance version of the SU7, as well as the launch of a new SUV, the YU7, expected in mid-2025. Xiaomi also introduced the SU7 Ultra model for pre-sales in October 2024, priced at RMB 814,900, nearly four times the price of the standard SU7. Official sales of the SU7 Ultra are expected to begin in March 2025.
To support its growing presence, Xiaomi EV has opened 16 new sales outlets in January 2025, bringing its total to 216 locations across 64 cities. Additionally, Xiaomi EV has opened 31 service centers and authorized service centers to serve its expanding customer base. The company plans to open five more stores in February.
