SAIC-GM-Wuling managed to sell more than 500,000 Hongguang Mini EV electric vehicle models throughout 2021.
Launching Gizmochina, Saturday (15/1/2022), Wuling Motors set a new record for sales of one new energy car model in China, with sales reaching 55,729 units in December 2021.
The Hongguang Mini EV ranked first in the category for 16 consecutive months.
Overall the SEV series including Hongguang MINI EV, Wuling Nano EV, and KiWi EV from the brand have surpassed more than 750,000 units during the same period.
“From 2022, we will gradually launch several models of the GSEV platform in China and overseas markets,” Shao, at the New Energy Vehicle Congress told China Daily.
Shao did not reveal which country outside China was the first to sell the model.
