Wallbox and ENSOL EV have announced an expanded collaboration to deploy DC fast charging infrastructure in key electric vehicle (EV) markets in the United States. The rollout will begin in the second half of 2025, focusing on urban centers and transit corridors in Texas, Florida, and Georgia.
This initiative builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, which previously included the installation of Wallbox’s Pulsar line of AC chargers. The current plan introduces Wallbox’s Supernova DC fast charger, capable of delivering up to 180 kW of power. The charger has recently received CTEP and NTEP certifications, allowing for broader public deployment.
“This expansion is an exciting next step in our work with Ensol and brings our Supernova fast chargers to high-growth EV markets in the U.S.,” said Douglas Alfaro, Chief Business Development Officer at Wallbox.
ENSOL EV, a division of Ensol Energy Solutions, intends to integrate the chargers with on-site renewable energy systems, such as solar and battery storage. The combined approach is aimed at supporting local energy resilience and enabling more sustainable EV charging.
“Our goal is to build charging infrastructure that not only enables electric mobility but is rooted in sustainability as the core of the entire concept,” said Ernesto Figueroa, CEO of ENSOL EV.
The first installations are expected to begin in late 2025, with additional sites planned through early 2026. Locations will be selected based on high-traffic volumes and growing demand for EV charging. The chargers will also include smart energy features designed to optimize power distribution and operational reliability.
