Volkswagen has introduced a new Black Package for the 2025 ID.4 electric SUV in the United States, adding black exterior accents and 20-inch alloy wheels as part of an effort to boost appeal amid softer demand.
The Black Package, available on the S and S Plus trims, includes black-painted mirror caps, door handles, badging, and wheels. Pricing starts at $45,095 for the ID.4 Pro variant with an 82 kWh battery. All 2025 ID.4 models are assembled at Volkswagen’s Chattanooga, Tennessee plant.

Volkswagen said the 2025 ID.4 lineup will be offered in five trims, all equipped with the 82 kWh battery. The base Pro RWD model offers up to 291 miles of driving range, with a starting price of $45,095. Updates for 2025 include increased power and range, a revamped infotainment system, and new AI-enabled features.
Since April, all ID.4 models have been shipped with updated software, adding features such as a door-opening warning and improved seatbelt reminders. Customers can also opt for a Premium Speech package, which Volkswagen says provides a more natural, AI-powered voice assistant.

The ID.4 has been one of the top-selling EVs in the US, ranking third in January behind Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3. However, Volkswagen has slowed output at its Chattanooga plant this year due to easing demand.
To attract buyers, Volkswagen is offering aggressive lease incentives. The 2025 ID.4 Pro RWD is advertised at $129 per month on a 24-month lease with $2,499 due at signing, making it the most affordable EV lease in the US. Lease cash offers of up to $12,350 are available on select trims through September 30, coinciding with the expiration of the federal $7,500 EV tax credit.
