Toyota has entered into a partnership with an electric car charging company called EVgo, to welcome the Toyota bZ4X which will soon be launched in the United States.

This partnership allows Toyota bZ4X owners or tenants to get one year of unlimited free charging at all EVgo public charging stations. They will have plenty of choice as the company has more than 800 DC fast charging locations as well as thousands of Level 2 charging stations. These facilities are located in more than 68 metropolitan areas in 35 states.

While there are still some gaps in EVgo’s network, the company notes that more than 130 million people in the United States live within 16 km of EVgo’s fast-charging facilities. EVgo alone plans to deploy around 16,000 fast charging facilities by 2027.

Toyota Motor North America Vice President of EV Charging Solutions, Christopher Yang, said, “We want Toyota bZ4X customers to enjoy a seamless and worry-free high-quality ownership experience. Collaborating with EVgo, the nation’s largest public fast charging network, will help bZ4X owners access fast charging.”
