The Mobility House has announced that its ChargePilot charging and energy management platform is now available across Europe as a standalone product, expanding access to the company’s smart charging software for fleet operators and infrastructure providers.

The Munich-based company said the system is currently deployed at more than 2,700 sites in 20 countries and manages approximately 25,000 charging points.

ChargePilot is designed to connect electric vehicle fleets with local energy systems through a manufacturer-independent platform capable of managing charging loads in real time.

The system uses a locally installed ChargePilot Controller to distribute available electrical capacity across connected charging points and energy consumers, with a focus on reducing grid peak loads and optimising power usage.

Previously, ChargePilot was mainly offered as part of The Mobility House’s broader infrastructure and service portfolio or through large-scale fleet deployment projects.

The company said the new standalone offering is aimed at infrastructure operators, charging solution providers and manufacturers seeking independent charging and energy management software.

“What we see in the field is that charging has become mission-critical,” Heiko Bayer, managing director of The Mobility House Solutions, said in a statement.

“The focus is shifting from building infrastructure to operating it as part of the local energy system,” Bayer added. “In that context, stable operations and economic efficiency are non-negotiable.”

According to The Mobility House, the platform can reduce grid peak loads by up to 80% and lower energy costs by around 30% on average.

The company said the system is capable of continuing local charging operations even if cloud connectivity is interrupted.

ChargePilot is also compatible with more than 50 hardware and software systems and can reportedly be deployed at a single site within one week.

As an example of the platform’s deployment, The Mobility House cited its work with ACTV in Venice, where the system manages 80 electric buses and 44 DC chargers connected to a complex 5-megavolt-ampere grid infrastructure.

Earlier this year, The Mobility House added dynamic tariff optimisation to ChargePilot, allowing fleets to charge vehicles automatically when electricity prices are lowest based on spot market rates.

The company said the update aligns with its broader strategy of integrating smart charging and vehicle-grid integration technologies to improve fleet energy economics.
