Tesla has officially launched the Model Y L, a six-seat version of its Model Y SUV, in China, priced from RMB 339,000 ($47,180). Deliveries for Chinese customers are expected to begin in September, according to Tesla China’s website.

The Model Y L features a longer wheelbase than the five-seat Model Y, measuring 4,976 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,668 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,040 mm. The SUV has a CLTC range of 751 kilometers and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.

The vehicle is equipped with an 82.0-kWh ternary battery pack supplied by South Korea’s LG Energy Solution.

It weighs 2,088 kilograms and consumes 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers. Tesla said the Model Y L offers new features including a golden paint option, 19-inch wheels, and a drag coefficient of 0.216.

Interior updates include independently foldable second- and third-row seats with electric controls, ventilated front seats, and heated seating for all passengers.

The SUV also comes with an upgraded Tesla Audio system featuring 18 Tesla-designed speakers and a subwoofer.

For financing, Tesla offers Chinese customers a three-year interest-free plan with a down payment of RMB 99,900, or a five-year low-interest option with a down payment of RMB 45,900. A RMB 8,000 discount on paid paint options is available for the six-seat variant.
