Tata Motors recorded the largest order for electric vehicles in India to date. BluSmart Electric Mobility has just ordered 10,000 Tata XPRES T EV to be used as their electric fleet.
This order complements the 3,500 XPRES T EV made by BluSmart in October 2021.
Tata Motors launched the XPRES T EV in July 2021 for fleet customers. This compact electric sedan comes with two battery variants (16.5 kWh and 21.5 kWh) with a range of 213km and 165km (ARAI). The Tata XPRES T EV has a top speed of 80 kph.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Electric Mobility, said that the battery capacity of the XPRES T EV is optimal for fleet use.
Anmol Singh Jaggi, CoFounder of BluSmart Electric Mobility, said the company is building a large-scale electric mobility fleet in India. Currently BluSmart has operations in Delhi and has completed 1.6 million electric trips, according to company data.
BluSmart only uses electric vehicles as their fleet. BluSmart recently secured a Series A funding round of over $25 million from BP Ventures.
