Rivian has introduced the Upfit Program, a new initiative aimed at making it easier for fleet managers to customize and deploy its electric vehicles for commercial use.
The program, launched in partnership with industry leaders such as Ranger Design, Sortimo of North America, Bush Specialty Vehicles, Holman, LEGEND, and EV Sportline, provides a streamlined process for businesses transitioning to electric fleets.

“Upfitting is the process of customizing a vehicle in order to meet fleet, business, or individual consumer needs to tackle the job at hand,” Rivian stated. “This work is done after the vehicle has been built and released from the factory and can include everything from shelving modifications and flooring options to sirens and flashers.”
The program offers modifications for Rivian’s R1T and R1S vehicles, including configurations for lifeguard and roadside assistance applications, as well as a specialized upfit for the company’s electric delivery van featuring an HVAC and telecom-style toolbox setup.
